Transformations Clinical Psychology

Telehealth Sessions

How does it work?

Transformations Clinical Psychology provides clients with the flexibility to engage in therapy through telehealth services, ensuring accessibility and convenience. Telehealth sessions are conducted remotely and can be delivered via secure video conferencing or traditional telephone calls, depending on individual preferences and needs.

This approach allows clients to receive professional psychological support without the requirement of attending in-person appointments, thereby accommodating diverse circumstances such as geographical limitations, health considerations, or scheduling constraints while maintaining the same high standard of care.

There are numerous benefits of telehealth as outlined below:

Can I Still Claim a Medicare Rebate if the Session is Telehealth?

Yes! If you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), Medicare will still provide a rebate for your session even if it is a video or phone call.

The only exception is for overseas clients. Medicare will only provide a rebate if you are in Australia at the time of your telehealth session.

You can also use your private health fund for telehealth sessions if psychology is covered.

All our psychologists provide telehealth sessions – please contact us if you would like to start this journey with us!

How Transformations Clinical Psychology Conducts Telehealth Sessions:

  1. We conduct telehealth sessions via our practice software which uses Zoom.
  2. You will require a personal Zoom account. If you don’t already have one, you can register for a free account by clicking here.
  3. Alternatively, if you require a phone call session, the psychologist will call you at the time of your appointment.

What are the therapy options that Transformations Clinical Psychology can offer me?

It is notable that many mental health conditions share similar symptoms which is why it is highly recommended that a qualified psychologist provides an accurate assessment, diagnosis and tailored treatment plan based on evidence-based methods to ensure effective recovery for your well-being.
