Dr. Mahsa Kia is a qualified Clinical Psychologist. She is warm, nurturing, and empathic in her approach to therapy. She has a Bachelor of Clinical Psychology and she has completed a Master of Clinical Psychology in Iran and another Master of Clinical Psychology in Australia. She also had a PhD from the University of NSW and her Dissertation topic was on Emotion Regulation.

Mahsa is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and she is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a member of the Australian College of Clinical Psychologists (CCLIN) as well as the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology (SIOP).

Mahsa has worked in both Iran and Australia. She has a particular interest in anxiety disorders and mood disorders, OCD, trauma, grief and relationships. She predominantly practices cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and schema therapy. As part of her clinical training Mahsa has worked at St John of God Hospital (inpatient unit) and at the internationally recognised Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUFAD) at St Vincent’s Hospital.

Mahsa is warm and welcoming with a non-judgemental approach to helping people achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
